Formed in 1903, the Pacific Coast League is one of the premier leagues in Minor League Baseball. Hall of famers such as Joe DiMaggio, Earl Averill, Willie McCovey, and Paul Waner have appeared in the league. Current PCL alumni include Lance Berkman and Alex Rodriguez.
